I think I have completed this correctly but I have one doubt which is niggling. If I have elevated the person correctly and. I read across the blanks resulting from the six raises the last four letters of the character do not stand as a word independently. The first three letters form the end of a barred clue. Perhaps I have put the character in the wrong place - but everything else makes sense.

I’ve convinced myself as the rubric states names are acceptable

Moving those 6 letters is the only thing that I have yet to resolve. I am fixated on row 2, but I cannot see how anything works.

All finished now - and I was looking at the wrong row for producing the final grid.

Hello folks, i believe ive completed the puzzle but i am still perplexed about the quotes. Why is there a letter missing in the first one and why are they repeated? I know im missing something. Any suggestions?

Mullingar - all of the across clues are of the same type. And the down clues are the other type.

For the across, if you lay out your swaps, you’ll see a depiction famous quote by the crone trio at the end of Scene 1.

For the downs, you’ll see a depiction of a Lady X sleep-talking quote.

Yes h1982 i believe i understand that but my across quote is repeated thrice and misses the first letter of both words each time. My down quote is complete but weirdly repeated. Have i got something wromg?

No, you don’t have anything wrong as far as I can see.

I assume the first letter is missing because there’s no need to swap F with F…

Mmm i feel a little disappointed with that but thank you h1982. I presume that is the explanation for the repetition of the down quote as well.
