Many thanks for your help. I have ordered a Chambers dictionary (1p + postage!) to help with future rainbow quizzes. Must admit that until now I hadn't come across the word which is the answer to 38..

Can anyone help me with the multiple 'w' clue numbers.
I have 21 so one has to be wrong.
Page 1: 3, 7, 11, 17 and 24
Page 2: 36, 40, 43, 49, 54, 59, 62 and 70
Page 3: 76, 77, 78, 81, 83, 87, 92 and 95

My 76 doesn't have two w's but I think I know what your answer is. Mine is another bird but it might not be the right answer.

So that makes 5 on page 1
8 on page 2 and 7 on page 3.

I've decided that my answers to 46 and 71 are probably wrong.
Has anyone some clues for these two?

Can you possibly give me some more clues for 54. I have just looked through the threads for this quiz and see that it is an anagram according to some members. I have got an answer which has two w's but it isn't an anagram. Mine is a plural of a certain bird!

I think someone has already said that for 46 you need to look at sorts of duck and then when you find ones that could possibly be right as they are the right length and contain a w, then you need to look that word up. You will find that the answer is also a obsolete word for fool.

The answer I have got for 71 is a sort of river/sea craft that starts with a three letter word for dispute but I am not really sure if this is right.
