Thank you nonplussed. Got the first word but can't find a 6 letter suitable word beginning with W for the 2nd one! Also still not happy with that answer for 52.

Thanks Lady Bee. So, the full answer has 3 W's? Is that answer the name of a nursery rhyme as I can't find it in any list. Or is just the 1st word that is associated with a nursery rhyme?

It's just the first word that appears in the nursery rhyme or song.

42. Not quite the full word for a clergyman plus a word to cut and the whole is a humorous poem.

42 The first bit is another name of a clergyman beginning with c minus the last letter. The 2nd syllable is 3 letter word which means to cut.

Think of another word for twig, followed by common letter for a duck, I.e. No score, twice. Answer is an Australian tree.

I would like some hints for 17, 38 and 98 please. I think from my tally of 2w's, that 2 of the answers fall into that category.
