Well spotted Gweilo, I’d add 21d to that list.

i'm about half done, but not enjoying it. i've gone off qaos as a setter.

already there is lots of uk specific gk - i wonder how overseas solvers will cope (though geeker seems to have managed)

Don’t forget we now have the Saturday “Quick Cryptic”.

Today’s No.2 is set by Picaroon.

oh, and the definition for 23d is wrong. you would need to add "pole" to the answer for it to be an, um, "pole"!

I have completed the crossword, but am unsure of how a couple of answers are parsed:
1d) I have an answer for "unusual". But that's as far as I get with this clue.
18d) I have never heard of "S" being used as an abbreviation in this way.

mikey, 1d: defn. "unusual", parses as a 4-letter word for "Challenge" with the first letter switched, the letter switch involves abbrevs for the 2 major US political parties.

Ditto on 18d, despite being American that was my LOI by leaps and bounds.

Mikey,
1d. Consider the first letter as Democrat rather than Republican and you get challenge.
18d. Agree unusual but as so often, it’s in Chambers.
