Re Perks OED gives perks as coffee made in a percolater,I read Perks to mean filtered as in anagram indicator.

Hi Guys; just got in from work, so sorry for the late declaration! As is increasingly the norm there were some superb clues as witnessed by the fact that there was such a spread of votes. Anyway in joint third place with one vote apiece we have;
