Our jumble sale this week received 21 donations from 12 generous-minded setters.

In joint-second we have mattrom and buddy, for whom the word JUNK conjured images of Rishi Sunak and Kim Jong Un.

They can have a go at what's left on the raffle table after our winner has had his pick.

And, with five votes, our clear winner is paul with:

Vacuous jock pens an article in French - it's rubbish! (4)

C'est proper braw, is that.

A couple of prizes.

Here's a song about the more sinister side of junk. There are many to choose from: Tim Hardin; Neil Young of course; but here's a cover from Johnny Cash:

And here's Steptoe and Son - our favourite dealers in junk. The episode Men of Letters seems especially apt for a forum like this. The entire episode is a delight, but if you scroll right through to 24:55 you'll catch "that bit about the crossword".

Very well done Paul. Thanks Baccy and thanks Geeker for the mention (that was a bit of a joke clue but I couldn’t resist using jono to get to junk).

Congrats paul and thanks bacchanal.

(bacchanal - you need to put a slash in front of the letter to turn off the effect - for example, /b )

Thanks all for the votes! Cheers Baccy and thanks for the irises. After watching them I discovered that Wilfred Brambell and Harry Corbett were only 13 years apart!
See you all next week.
