Bees, mornings are too early for most of the jazz I like ( including the latest Brasilian music) and evenings are definitely the best
Classic FM is often my choice when driving in the "Jazz" :)

I`ve enjoyed reading these comments - I know it`s been said before, but my fingers are itching to add `like ` to them. I`ll just say i liked and was amused by the whole thread - oh, and it helped me finish the puzzle, too ! Mags.

Just trying to finish in the bottom LH corner:

18a - I'm thinking of a late radio and TV presenter whose first name is a very common one and whose surname is also that of a chain of shoe repair and key cutting shops. The inner demons are plain to see, but where does the doctor come into it?

"The great cham"

(This may be too obscure a hint - let me know if you would like a clearer one!)

... or the "great" Sam !
Mama Jazz here was not happy yesterday, as her "baby" Jazz had a dead battery and had to wait for the RAC to come and get her started.

Thanks both, although I'm not much the wiser. Must go out now, back tonight, maybe the penny will drop...
