I don't know if this is what Trevor was thinking, but the Welland flows through the town of Stamford; describing it as a "brook" would be a rather modest way of doing so!

Could you help again by sending the list of 11 letter stations. I have a few of those to do and am trying to solve these - with much difficulty., I might add.

Lime Street and Rodney Street are streets in Liverpool (I had to look up Rodney Street - it has lots of doctors abd is called "the Harley Street of the north".)

chrise has all the reasons that i thought of, be careful to put brook, not bridge tho, it does roll off the tongue easier.

shane - ignore Earl's Court and Queen's Park. Excel was counting the apostrophe as a character.
