But how did you know that it was an anagram of CAGE I ARE?

14D & 17D are great examples of Myops' deviousness

Pen = Cage

& 1 are 14 = CAGE + I + ARE => 14D

i'm finding this odd, several i think are probably right, but not sure. one or two seem far easier than the rest.

Myops' style does take some practice to master.

25d) a word for caruncle + letter for soft gives a time. Should 'Spring' to mind!!
