Well, thank you all very much for a very interesting discussion ! I googled URE and was not that impressed with what I read, but there again I was not impressed with the clue! So, What do I put in ? USE ? seems to have Mamya and ChrisE's votes!

I was happy with USE - I didn't think it was a great clue, but I've seen worse.

Mine wasn't as positive as an actual vote, pigale!

Let's go for USE then - When I type it in tonight, I should find out if all my answers are correct or not - that's assuming I have not made a mistake anywhere else!
