I'm looking for a reason in the quotation for putting the missing letter in the central cell.

Well I have the "question" now, so I presume it's the first four words : the second word changes from a personal pronoun (capitlized) to a letter?

Sorry, I meant the 3rd word of the quotation. And obviously "secret once" in 44ac supplies the extra "R".

It does seem very weak just to put the letter I in the middle. I thought there might be some significance in the rest of the prayer.
I didn't enjoy this one at all - is it my imagination that these crosswords are being "dumbed down"? I have recently discovered the EV which seems to be a lot harder.

I am still a beginner too but they still seem to be easier now. I heard someone say that Sabre is a tougher setter. Also the message technique used here should be kicked into touch - it does seem to be overused.
