Overt occurred to me right away but I must say I dismissed disc at first, thinking it wasn't synonymous with ring.

And Ari! Yes, ring = disc and disc = ring in both Chambers and Oxford Thesauri. I really hope the weather will become a bit Spring-like in your neck of the woods before long.

The "Listener" was a weekly magazine about radio programs and related material. When it folded, the Times "saved" the crossword.
"In which sea is the Isle of Man?" was asked on Two tribes this evening (answered correctly).
