This week any one of these clever clues would be a deserving winner . In the last half hour I almost awarded it to chrise(2) ginge(15) and ixion(18 or 19)

had to look again and now see how much I like the neat and tidy approach of jws@9

My preference is for quiet charm (8)

I saw your clue jws and thought it was not only brilliant but solvable even by bovlbs like me who sometimes can't see the more convoluted ones even when I know the answer. Well done.
Am I the only one who sometimes finds Farty Towels too embarrassing to look at, and have to just listen?
