14a European currency from very long ago (4) ?IAS - There is an extra letter "T" in the wordplay

26d Source of logos amongst old nation (6) - The answer is 6 letters but is entered jumbled in the grid... 5 of the letters are E O A C R - I think it's ORACLE ?? but where is the defn?

First letter of 'Logos' in O for old, + RACE (nation)

..and source=oracle

i think it's &lit, ie, the whole clue is the def. logos meant 'reason' in greek.

thanks mattrom & trevor - that's what i thought it must be ........ any ideas on the other?

got it now - LITAS is the coinage - LIAS is the time from long ago (jurassic etc)
