I was looking for a 4 or 5 letter word as part of a clue in a cryptic crossword. It had to do with Liverpool and end in CK. The news of Cilla came on the television. The word turned out to be WACK, a word I may not have known but for Cilla.
What a shock (even if she apparently didn't want to live much longer).
I only learned words like "scrubber" thru a Liverpool friend I got to know in college 50 yrs ago.
