Help please to finish.
23 Match item of furniture. (6) ?i?t?r
Should be easy...!
On the theme, (don't give it away) I only see one 'who famously went over' - where is the other?

Lumen - I too was worried about this for a while, but consider 19D. It does, as the preamble says, 'double duty'. Okay?

Actually, to be absolutely correct, 19D doesn't do double duty at all. That's 1D, obviously. In its enterable form 19D really is one of the two that famously 'went over', it would require an additional apostrophe 's' in order to become one that has to be 'gone over'. Got it? As for 23A, don't get into a fix over it, it's really straightforward.

I think that it is 1 down, which does double duty. Following both 11 and 18?
