I've finished, but not confident about two.

7a Interfere with dog without a tail (5)

?N?O?

I've gone for SNOOP (the dog being SNOOPY), but it doesn't really mean "interfere", does it?

20a Embedded level inside trendy top (6)

I?L?I?

I've gone for INLAID. This time the def. is OK, but I don't see all the wordplay ("in" for "trendy" and "L" for "level" perhaps, but that leaves "aid")

A-level inside IN LID (trendy top?) = Inlaid?

I think it's probably right - "A level" is a common expression.

Hi all
I wasn't sure whether to start a "non-spoiler" thread. However, I have finally finished, well over an hour but seemed longer ! Some very clever parsing I thought, and it seems like a new compiler. Very enjoyable. I am not sure about "snoop" as synonym for "interfere". Chambers shows it as to act sneakingly or pry. I have the Concise Oxford which shows snoop as "pry into matters one need not be concerned with" so that is borderline interfering I suppose.
