Mess= softish pulpy food
Praiseach=kind of oatmeal porridge.

jazzgirl: to avoid spoiling your Saga crossword in the magazine, you might like to make a photocopy, and fill that in first. You can then make as many alterations as you like!

over (finished) + power (might) - overpower? (dominate)

Walter Mitty? (spoonersism Malter (malta - island Witty - amusing )
